We are committed to building
handhewn furniture that is unique and artistic. The beauty of nature
is captured in every inch of every piece of our furniture - there are
not many straight lines! We don't use many rulers or squares. For the
Beds, we use no set plans or templates. We use drawknives, gouges
and natural flowing wood shapes - the way they grew. All of the
furniture is finished in a Water or Oil Based Varathane for durability.
Stains may be added if desired as some photos show.
The way the wood assembles
itself in our "secret forest factory" still amazes us! As
artists we work to bring to life furniture that is a collaboration of
people and nature. All of our work boasts mortise and tenon joints which
are hand -carved so that even the joinery is authentic and unique. Our
cabinet work is solid and a beading trim accents all openings. When
building we use Pine and a wood that is similar to Pine. Second growth
Douglas fir is hand picked from the forest floor after land is cleared
for rural developments.
