Drawers

All of the drawers on our furniture are tight fitting, flush-mounted drawers accented with an attractive beading in the opening. A sturdy half lap joint, reinforced with glue and nails, is used to ensure a strong, long lasting drawer. All drawers run on smooth wooden runners, not plastic guides. Waxing the runners periodically is all that is needed to keep the drawers running smoothly.

Doors

The doors of the armoires and bookcases are built using a haunched mortise and tenon joint with a floating tongue and groove panel. The armoire sides are also built with a t&g panel in frame. This not only looks great but also minimizes the possibility of warping which can occur in large solid panels.
